The External Affairs & Continuous Improvement internship is an excellent opportunity that offers you the chance to explore and learn what it is like working for a global transportation and shipping company. This position is a paid temporary onsite position based at Pasha Automotive Services' office in National City, CA. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, standard office hours. We are projecting a June 3, 2024 start date.
As an External Affairs & Continuous Improvement Intern, you will get the chance to learn and assist with grant research and monthly vessel reporting; the development of ESG reporting; employee volunteer events and shadow external community events. Under continuous improvement, you will help analyze existing processes and identify areas for improvement; assist in the development of quality assurance procedures; participate in root cause analysis and support the delivery of quality management training programs. You will work in a team-based environment, under direct supervision and guidance.
Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Complete various tasks, including filing, data entry, document scanning and processing materials and information packets
  • Assist with phone and email correspondence
  • Other duties as assigned
What you will need to have:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Current enrollment in or acceptance to an accredited sustainability, or related, degree or credential program preferred
  • Ability to follow instructions and work on multiple assignments
  • Proficiency with MS Office: Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Some related work or formal volunteer experience is a plus

The expected salary range for this role is set forth below. Ranges may be modified in the future.
