Senior Mechanical Project Engineer

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Immediate Opening!
 
 
Our Milwaukee-area customer, an OEM of automated industrial equipment, is looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer to join its staff.
This is a contract position to start.  However; there is an opportunity for extended and/or direct employment if our customer's sales continue to stay strong. 

The successful candidate will have the following experience:
1.  A minimum of 10-plus years concepting, designing and developing of automated industrial material handling and/or automated manufacturing
     machinery, special machines and manufacturing systems.  Solid modeling experience required, AutoCAD Inventor experience preferred.
     a.  This includes demonstrated experience concepting complex industrial equipment and material handling systems..
     b . The ability to properly size and select components.
     c.   Experience engineering / designing required weldments.
     d.  The ability to supervisor / mentor junior engineers and designers (along with managing outside vendors).
            i.  This including setting deadlines, checking details, monitoring timelines, etc.

2.  A minimum of 7 years of Project Management experience. 
     a.   This includes review, selection and management of external design/build vendors.
     b.   Taking on role a 'Quality Control' for all project assigned. 

3.  Working with Sales Engineering and customers to create equipment specifications, assist with customer quotes, etc.

4.  Travel to customer's sites as required including on-site start up and debug of installed machinery as required.
